Ruger security 9 problems

I called Ruger today to check on the status of my Security 9. They said that the tech ran 60 rounds through it and didn't experience the problem of the last round remaining in the magazine with the slide locked open. Since it is a new gun they are going to keep it longer and have another tech look at it.

When I first inspected it, I found it was really hard to get the slide stop to set, but was told it would loosen up with firing, and slingshot worked fine.
