Hi all, I recently picked up a 99 Xplorer 400 4x4 for a few hundred bucks due to the amount of work it needs. Overall it seems to be in good shape with nothing bent, minimal rust, plastics are good, etc. The main issue is that it won't go into gear. Fist thing I noticed is the electric start did not work,I found the power wire broken at the starter, new terminal fixed that.Sounds like the carb float needle and seat is leaking and filled the case with fuel. That will hydrolock the motor and keep it from turning over and will pump fuel out all over if you do get it to go.
